The principle

At calving, calcium demand jumps

At calving, the dairy cow’s calcium demand rises faster than her body can mobilise and absorb it. An oral supply of calcium, at that precise moment, supports her calcium status over those few hours.

The transition ration carries most of it; Linkalci is used on top, above all for the cows that need it most, from the third lactation and high yielders: the day before, at calving and in the hours that follow, depending on the form chosen.

Three forms

A drench or a bolus

The choice depends on the farm, the cow and the moment: we make it with you.

Linkalci Drench: the form for readily available calcium. A liquid that supplies calcium together with energy sources, in a 500 mL drench bottle or a can. It is also used in ewes and goats after lambing or kidding.
Linkalci Bolus: a calcium bolus given by mouth, in a box of 2: 53 g of calcium for 2 boluses.
