Cattle feed additives, from calf to dairy cow

Calf, heifer, dairy cow or beef cattle: from ration to housing, each step has its own challenges. Here are those our platforms work on, in the feed, through the water or as a drench.

Which additives for cattle, step by step?

Each step links to the pages of the platforms concerned.

  1. A sound ration

Mycotoxins and moulds in forages and concentrates: the rumen breaks down part of the toxins, not aflatoxin. The rate is given per kilogram of dry-matter intake.

    Mycotoxins in feed →

  2. The calf

Starting, weaning, bouts of diarrhoea: calf feed palatability, water, electrolytes and pectins.

    Diarrhoea on the farm →

  3. Around calving

Calcium at calving, then support for the fresh cow.

    Ruminant solutions →

  4. Digestion and heat

Betaine, tannins and a postbiotic in the ration; aromatic substances through the water when the heat rises.

    Heat stress →

  5. The barn

Dry bedding is easier to manage: a drying agent on the lying area.

Frequently asked questions

Is the rate the same as for pigs and poultry?

No: in ruminants, a mycotoxin binder rate is given per kilogram of dry-matter intake, not per tonne of feed.

How do I choose?

Describe the stage, the ration and what you see: we propose a platform, a rate and a way to use it.
